  1. Bob Sargent says:

Looks like the bulk of the list this year is older (50s-60s), and also predominantly male. I was under the impression that fatalities used to be mostly young males. Anyone know if this is a recent change, like this year, or has been a trend for a while? Or am I missing something?

    • I agree. I believe that part of this is the baby boomers which represent the largest group of skiers are aging. they were always the largest identifiable group of skiers. However I have o access that I know of to the breakdown of the ages in skiing. consequently I’m guessing.

However there has definitely been an increase in the average age. Used to be young hot dogs and now it is older skiers.
