A new zip line in at Whitefish Mountain resort sent a man to the hospital with a broken tailbone. The man, in order to get a better ride jumped on the line to get a better ride. That jump caused the line to oscilate so that when he approached the platform the line was below the platform breaking his tailbone.

sound like this zip was properly built. I have seen this and also as a facilitator falling victim to this. Adults want to show off and “up the challenge”. So instead of using the Zip as it should have been he chose to JUMP…wanting to get a better ride. The jump changed the situation enough to cause in injury.
This is why facilitators MUST BE TRAINED & life bar tenders be allowed to toss any paying person who chooses to abuse the equipment.
